Toscana is the most enduringly famous of all Italian wine regions, thanks to the romantic glamor of its endless rolling hills, cypress-lined country roads and hilltop villages. But even without all of this, evaluated on the merits of its wines alone, Toscana stands tall, its reputation founded on such iconic wines as Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Super Tuscan.
Today, Toscana is one of the most famous and prolific wine regions anywhere in Europe. Its vineyards produce an array of internationally recognised wines in various styles.

Winery characteristic
Azienda Agricola Pacenti Franco, established in the 1970’s by Franco’s father Rosildo.
The farm which covers approximately 36 hectares, is located in Canalicchio – a village whose fame comes from its age-long tradition for vine growing and wine making and is still family-run.
One type of vine is grown, Sangiovese, which gives four varieties of wine: Rosso Toscana IGT “Il Bersaglio”, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva. Extra-Virgin olive Oil and Grappa di Brunello are also produced.
